What Is House Church?

Definition

"A local church made up of house churches — communities of 6–12 led by laypeople, meeting in homes weekly, fulfilling the essential functions of the church: worship, education, fellowship, service, and mission."

What This Means

House Church is not a program. It is the church itself — structured the way the first-century church was. Laypersons become pastors. Homes become sanctuaries. The goal is simple: winning souls and making disciples by showing them how to live.

Aims to restore the New Testament church — not as tradition, but as a living community experiencing God together.

Disciples are made by sharing life together, not just attending services or learning facts.

The pastor equips; the laypeople shepherd. Every believer is a minister. (Eph 4:11–12)

Through honest life-sharing and answered prayer, members encounter God personally and grow into faithful disciples.

Lay ministers experience the joys and challenges of ministry firsthand — becoming true co-workers in the pastoral calling.

House Church provides a real-world environment to practice the Word — producing disciples whose lives match their faith.
